VISA APPLICATION FORM

30 DAY STAYS WITHOUT VISA
The Citizens of this country are not required to obtain a visa before entering Thailand as long as the purpose of your trip to Thailand is tourism and your stay in Thailand is 30 days or less. You must have a valid passport (6-month validity with some empty visa pages), proof of confirmed air tickets showing 30 days or less in Thailand, must have clean record in Thailand (no criminal history) and carry at least $200 per person or $400 per family. Extension of stay will not be granted.
N.B. For those who hold travel documents for aliens, namely; alien passport or C.I. , have to apply for visa.

TOURIST VISA
1. General Information
This type of visa will be issued to applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom for the following purposes.
2. Requirement for obtaining a visa
- Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months. The passport must be valid for travelling to Thailand.
- Visa application form completely filled out for each passport.
- One recent official passport photograph of the applicant ( 2 1/2 inches) taken within six months.
N.B. In In regards to minors traveling to Thailand who appear on their parents' passports, please be advised that parents must fill out one visa form, submit one official passport photograph and the visa fee for each minor.
- Minimum currency required to enter Thailand (20,000 Baht per person and 40,000 Baht (per family)
- Beside applying in person at the consulate, visa application forms may be submitted by mail. In this case, a self-addressed and stamped envelope for the return of the passport by First Class Registered Mail is required. In the absence of the required self-addressed and stamped envelope, the Consulate will not be responsible for returning the passport. (Postage should not be included in the visa fee).
N.B. If the applicant sends their passport by a courier service he/she must pay the fee; the Consulate will not accept anything sent C.O.D. If the applicant wants his/her passport returned by a courier service he/she must encloses a self-addressed prepaid envelop for the return of your passport or to provide the account number of courier services.
3. Visa fee
The fee for TOURIST VISA is 40.00 Canadian Dollars each entry. Only money orders are accepted if sent by mail. No personal cheques or company cheques will be accepted.
4. VALIDITY OF A VISA
The visa must be utilized within 90 days from the date of its issuance. Should the applicant be unable to enter Thailand within this period, an extension of another 90 days may be granted at the discretion of the Consular Officer issuing the visa, and a new fee will be charged. The total of validity must not exceed six months.
5. VALIDITY OF A STAY
Travellers coming to Thailand with this type of visa will be permitted to stay in the Kingdom for a period not exceeding 60 days.
6. EXTENSION OF STAY
Those who wish to stay longer can submit the application form at the Office of Immigration Bureau located on Soi Suan Plu, off South Sathorn Road, Bangkok 10120 , Tel (662) 287-3101-10. The extension of stay as well as the change of certain types of visa is at the discretion of the Immigration officer.

NON-IMMIGRANT VISA
1. GENERAL INFORMATION
This type of visa is designed for applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom for the following purposes.
- To conduct business / to work
- To study, to come on a work study tour or observation tour , to participate in projects or seminars , to attend a conference or training course
- Other activities
2. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED ***
- Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months. The passport must be valid for travelling to Thailand.
- Visa application form completely filled out for each passport.
- One 5 x 6 cm full-faced , bareheaded photos taken within the past six months.
N.B. In In regards to minors traveling to Thailand who appear on their parents' passports, please be advised that parents must fill out one visa form, submit one passport-size photograph and the visa fee for each minor.
The applicants must submit the following relevant documents depending on the purpose of their visit.
To conduct business / To work
- Letter from a company stating the objective of the visit to Thailand
- Document showing correspondence with trading partners in Thailand.
- Letter of invitation from companies qualified to employ foreigners.
- Employment contract indicating rationale for hiring the applicant as well as his/her salary, position and qualifications (document must be signed by authorized managing director and affixed the seal of the company)
- Copy of Work Permit issued by the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare (only in case the applicant has previously worked in the Kingdom)
- Copy of corporate documents; namely
- List of shareholders
- Business registration and business license
- Company profile
- Details of business operation
- List of foreign workers stating names, nationalities and positions
- Balance sheet, statement of Income Tax and Business Tax (Por Ngor Dor 50 and Por Ngor Dor 30) of the latest year
- Alien income tax return (Por Ngor Dor 91)
- Value-added tax registration (Por Ngor Dor 20)
- Copy of educational records of the applicant and letters of recommendation from the prior employers, identifying job description and length of service time
- Document indicating the number of foreign tourists (for tourism business only), document indicating export transactions issued by banks (for export business only), or degree / certificate (for teaching
English)
To study
- Transcript / Letter of acceptance from the concerned schools / universities or institutes

In all cases, the consul may request additional information or document depending on the type of visa being issued. Your application may be refused or delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.

3. VISA FEE
80.00 Canadian Dollars for single entry and 200.00 Canadian Dollars for multiple entries
4. VALIDITY OF A VISA
Single-entry visas are valid for three months and multiple- entry visas for one year.
5. VALIDITY OF A STAY
The holders of this type of visa are initially granted a period of stay in the Kingdom not exceeding 90 days unless otherwise instructed by the Office of Immigration Bureau.
6. EXTENSION OF STAY
Those qualified persons can obtain an additional one year stay permit counting from the date of entry in the Kingdom pertaining to the Office of the Immigration Bureau's regulations on extension of stay. The extension of stay is at the discretion of the Immigration officer.
N.B. If applicants wish to stay in the Kingdom longer than 90 days, they cansubmit their application either at the Thai consular mission aboard or at the Office of Immigration Bureau in Bangkok located on Soi Suan Plu, off South Sathorn Road,Bangkok 10120 , Tel (662) 287-3101-10. The consular officer must refer the case to the Office of Immigration Bureau for approval. Upon receiving approval, the consular officer may issue the visa as instructed by the Bureau.
*** 1. The document to be submitted for non-immigrant visa application is contingent upon necessities and appropriateness of purposes stated in the application form.
2. Consular officers reserve the rights to request for additional documents as deemed necessary.
3. Copies of company documents must be signed by Board of Directors and affixed the seal of the company.
4. In the absence of a required document, a letter indicating the unavailability of such document must be provided.
5. The applicant must sign on each page of the copy
6. Documents in foreign languages must be translated in Thai. If translated into English , it should be notarized by notary organs.
*** For those foreigners who wish to work in Thailand, their employer in Thailand should submit Form WP3 (Application for applying a work permit on behalf of alien according to Section 3) at the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare.

ONE YEAR STAY VISA FOR SETTING RETIREMENT (O-A)
VISA APPLICATION FORM
1. GENERAL INFORMATION
This type of visa will be issued to applicants aged 50 years or above wishing to take retreat in the Kingdom at least for the period of one year. .
2. QUALIFICATION OF THE APPLICANT
- An alien being 50 years of age and above (on the date of submitting an application).
- Not being a person prohibited from entering the Kingdom.
- Having no criminal record against the security of Thailand and the country of his/her nationality, or the country of his/her residence.
- Having the nationality of or the residence in the country where his/her application is submitted.
- Not having prohibitive diseases as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No. 14 (B.E. 2535).
- Not being allowed to work in Thailand.
3. DOCUMENT FOR THE APPLICATION
- A passport valid no less than one year and a half.
- Three Visa Application Forms (with photos).
- Additional Application form.
- A bank statement showing a deposit at the amount equal to no less than 800,000 Baht or an income certificate (an original copy) with a monthly salary of no less than 65,000 Baht, or a deposit account plus a monthly income of no less than 800,000 Baht a year. B.N. All financial statement must have the signature of the bank officer.
- In the case of the bank statement, a letter of guarantee from the bank (an original copy) is to be shown as well.
- Verification stating that the applicant has no criminal record issued from the country of his/her nationality or residence (the police check certificate must be valid for no more than 3 months).
- A medical certificate issued from the country where the application is submitted, showing no prohibitive diseases as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No. 14 (B.E. 2535) (the certificate shall be valid for no more than 3 months).
- In the case that the applicant wishes to have his/her spouse stay together in the Kingdom but the spouse is not qualified for the O-A code visa, their marriage certificate shall also be produced as evidence. (The spouse will be considered for the Visa for Temporary Residents under the 'O' Code).
3. VISA FEE
200.00 Canadian Dollars
4. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE ALIEN WHILE STAYING IN THE KINGDOM
- When completing the stay of 90 days in the Kingdom, the alien shall report to the competent authority and repeat it every 90 days with the immigration officer in the alien's residence area, or report to the police station in the alien's residence area if there is no immigration control there. (In order to report to the competent authority by mail, the alien shall do as follows: The Report Form (To Mo 47) together with a copy of the passport pages showing the alien's photo, personal details, and the latest arrival visa stamp as well as a self addressed envelop with postage affixed, shall be forwarded, by 7 days before the due date, by acknowledgement of receipt mail to the Immigration Bureau, Sathon Tai Road, Sathon District, Bangkok 10120. In the case of conducting any following reports, the Reply Form for the previous report shall be enclosed as well.)
- At the end of the one-year stay, the alien who wishes to extend his/her stay shall submit a request for the extended period at the Immigration Bureau with documented evidence of money transfer, or a deposit account in the Kingdom, or an income certificate, at the amount of no less than 800,000 Baht, or an income certificate plus a deposit account at the total amount of no less than 800,000 Baht a year.
- If the alien's spouse wishes to extend his/her stay as well, the marriage certificate shall be produced.
